Kaun Banega Crorepati-5 starts with a Bang!

Second Episode opens with Mrs. Saroj Mishra from Patna, who plays the game so that her family can repay the loan on tractor. Her husband, in order to surprise her, writes a letter taking pride in her achievements and wishes her all the best for the game. To encourage the contestant, Amitabh Bachchan calls her husband, who oh-so-sweetly promises to meet her at the airport irrespective of the outcome of the game. The woman successfully completes six questions and walks away with Rs. 1, 60,000 to keep her date with her loving husband at the airport.

Navleen Kaur is the second contestant from Jaipur. She is a Professor at Technical College and an ardent fan of Mr. Bachchan. As the game progresses, she gets confused a couple of times about the right answers, but somehow always manages to pick up the correct ones. A happy go lucky Navleen, is the first winner of KBC who ends up winning Rs. 25 Lakhs after using all the lifelines.

Third contestant is Mrs. Rajlakhsmi from Vapi, a homemaker who never had the time for herself after finishing her household chores. However, now that her children have grown up, she decided to do something for herself, and hence the first thing she did was to register for KBC. She won a sum of Rs. 80,000.

Mr Pradeep Yadav from Indore who also played with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, became the first Ghar Baitho Jeeto Jackpot winner.
