The 37 year actor rose to fame with Ekta Kapoor’s “ Ghar ek Mandir “.The show was a stepping stone as he got the name and fame , both which  he wanted and deserved . As time flew, he desired roles on the big screen too. So, we at Rangmunch.TV decided to bring to you a Sunday special Interview of your favorite Ram Kapoor !!

He has recently even gotten a lot of appreciation for his role in the movie “Udhaan” with Ronit Roy. “People are writing roles especially for me,” says Ram. “I am getting to do what all I wanted and enjoying it to the hilt. I consider myself belonging to the same genre as Boman Irani, Irfan Khan and Anupam Kher,”

The actor saw huge success with  yet another of Balaji Productions “Kasamh  Se”. After being a part of a series of reality shows like Jhalak Dikhlaja and Swayamvar season 1 and 2 with Rakhi Sawant and Rahul Mahajan, he is back to playing a lead and is currently  seen romancing Saakshi Tanwar in Sony’s  newest offering “ Bade Acche  Lagte hai .

Rangmunch.TV, brings to you an interview of Ram Kapoor, where he talks about his current show, his on screen characters as well as his journey in the Industry.

On Bade Acche Lagte Hai…
He plays a middle-aged business tycoon who falls in love after marriage. Its his journey from being a hard core business man to a warm loving husband to Priya, played by Saakshi Tanwar. The role has a lot of potential and we can see Ram exploiting every bit of it.

On Love
He has been very lucky to have found his soul mate in Gautami 10 years ago. He believes that love is abstract and can’t be defined. He is very happy in his married life and is a proud father of two children.

On His Characters
He played Jay Walia in Kasam Se and now is essaying Ram Kapoor. They both are business tycoons with an empire to run. But that is where the similarity ends. Jai was a strict principled man whose presence scared people, where as Ram is a light hearted , jovial, fun person who knows how to be at home and how to conduct himself at work. He has enjoyed playing both the characters, as both have been different and diversifying.
On His Weight…
As said by sources, he is very comfortable with his weight as it brings in light comedy to the scenes. People are loving him being “pleasantly plump”. “I have not been asked to reduce weight and it will remain the same,” says a happy Ram.

On Fans Feedback…
Women are loving the character and are totally hooked on to it. The feedback has been positive and very satisfying. One can easily say that Ram is doing full justice to Ram in the show. He is shown stern in his office but is warm and caring towards his sisters and his family on the show.

On His association with Ekta…
He has been very lucky to have her as his mentor, since whatever shows he did with her were not only huge successes but he got the desired place in the industry too. He considers her his lucky charm, as she completely understands him and vice versa.

On Bollywood…
After the success of Udhaan, we would be seeing him in Dharma productions Short Term Shaadi”,where he plays a Las Vegas real estate king , and in “ Agent Vinod “ starring Kareena and Saif. He surely has his plate full and totally loving it.

On His TV Journey…
He has been on this platform for over 12 years now. He has got everything he wished for and more. Right now is his time and he is cashing on it. He is hot on TV, so it’s the perfect time for him to capitalise on it.

So, there you have him…. “The charming, sauve and pleasantly plump Ram Kapoor”. He may not be the blue-eyed boy of the soup queen Ekta Kapoor, but he is definitely the audiences'.
