Fida's Corner : His wife, Mrs. Khurana !!!

PROLOGUE

His wife.

She was his wife.

As the thought thundered around his head, he wheeled away from the window in frustration as he tried to force his memory to return.

As always, the attempt was futile.  He’d spent the last 15 days struggling to accept that he didn’t remember anything that had happened over the past eighteen months.

Throwing himself into his chair, he leaned back, closing his eyes to try and block out the world.  A moment later, his eyes popped open; it was as if the insides of his eyelids were a screen onto which a series of images of her were being projected continuously.

In frustration, he picked up the phone and summoned Adi- when his faithful second-in-command entered, he said “Adi, sab accounts ki summary tayyar hogayi mereliye”

“J j jj j ii sir, jo jo summaries aap ne maangi theen, woh sab aapko email kardeen hain”

“Theek hai, main ghar jaake padhloonga, then when I get back from Mumbai you can fill me in on the details.  Until I’m fully up to speed with what’s going on with the business, I’m of no use here anyway.  You’re more than able to run things, jab se mera ye haal hua hai, tumhi to sab sambhaal rahe ho.”

Picking up his phone, he walked towards the door, aware of Adi’s eyes following him.  When he reached the door, he stopped, needing to know the answer to the question that has been troubling him for the past two hours.  Without looking back at the only man he had ever been able to rely on (even though he would never accept that he ever needed anyone to watch his back) he said “Adi, woh.........”

He stopped, having to force the words out “Adi, Mrs Khurana kahan hain?”

“Geet?  Geet to ghar pe hai Sir, Dadiji ke saath.”

He nodded once without looking at Adi, then strode towards the stairs, unwilling to spend any time cooped up in the lift.  As he took the steps two at a time, his thoughts circled back to the woman who was never far from his thoughts at the moment.

Geet.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CHAPTER 1

The next morning, Sunday, he woke as the first rays of sunlight began teasing at the horizon.  He looked over at the woman sleeping next to him, remembering the awkwardness of the evening before—as more and more days passed by without any signs of his memory returning, the pain in her eyes grew deeper and the silence more oppressive.  At times his guilt was overwhelming, finding expression as anger- he cringed inwardly as he realised how rudely he spoke about her, seeming to punish her for his own flaws and weakness.

Rolling away from her, he noticed the tear tracks on her cheeks that bore mute witness to her distress.  Cursing himself and her, cursing fate, his stepmother the doctors and everyone else who had landed him in this situation, he stood- in that moment, his gaze landed on their wedding picture; he stood for a moment studying it, trying to recognise himself in the man smiling so lovingly at Geet.  He had looked at her that day as if she was the only thing of meaning in the world, as if her happiness was the only thing important to him.  The picture showed that she was looking at him the same way, her eyes full of joy and hope.  There wasn’t an inch between them- his arm was wrapped around her as she leaned into his body.

He glanced down at the woman he had left sleeping on the bed, trying to reconcile the glowingly happy woman in the photo with the pale cheeked, hollow eyed woman he saw before him.  Guilt streaked through him again; he fought to turn it into anger the weight became too much to bear.

Needing to get away, needing time to think, he left the room as quietly as possible and made his way to the gym.  He worked his way through the katas, letting his body flow through increasingly difficult patterns and movements; as the patterns flowed without any hesitation, he wondered how it was that he could remember every kata he had ever learned, every breathing exercise, every anger-management technique, every exercise that he needed to do to maintain his ripped physique but he couldn’t remember the woman he had loved enough to share his life with.

As the repetitive perfection of the katas calmed his thoughts, the realisation dawned that they were going to have to start afresh.  He couldn’t keep torturing her the way he had been, the poor woman had done nothing to deserve that.  He had to offer her a chance at a new life; he owed her at least the chance to decide whether she wanted nothing more to do with a man who could so easily forget her, or whether she wanted to try and build a new life with him, based on convenience and with the clear understanding that his ability to love seemed to have vanished with the unexpectedness with which it had seemed to appear in his life.

To be continued.............................

Many Many Happy Returns of the Day!!!! Lalit Mohan!!

Every time we see Arnav ill-treat Khushi we hate him while every time he saves her from trouble we love his male chivalry. We envy the brotherly & sisterly bonding between Arnav & Anjali as well as Payal & Khushi & idealize their relationship. We love Akash as Payal’s silent admirer. We love Mamiji’s “Hello Hi Bye Bye” & Buaji’s “Hai re Nandkishore”. Last but not the least we love to hate Shyam, the charming manipulator.

But as each of these actors play their onscreen characters with perfection, there is one man who works behind the camera’s to ensure that every actor in every scene stirs the right kind of emotions among the viewers & helps them connect with the story & its characters. This man is none other than the “Director Saab” of the show.

Lalit Mohan “THE MAN” behind shows like Bidaai, Kitni Mohabaat Hai, 12/24 Karol Bagh, Ammaji ki Galli, Navya, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi & most recently Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, has given us some of the best moments in our favorite shows & we would like to thank him for his creative efforts.

So on behalf of all his viewers, we wish Mr. Lalit Mohan a very Happy Birthday!!! We hope & pray that he continues to entertain his viewers & achieve great heights both in his professional & personal life.

With Love & Best Wishes,

Friends Now Friends Forever: Gautam Hegde

                                                            Gautam Hegde

As we sent out some questions to interview Gautam Hegde, on the shows he was writing for, we also managed to get him to answer these friendship's day questions for us.
We at Rangmunch have always aimed at bringing to you the other side of the TV world, a world that is unknown and unseen by most of you. Our last experience with Gautam where he talked about the track was so engaging, we had to do this bit as well!

He has not only talked about his friends in the industry but also has pro-actively shared some personal pictures of his friends with us adding a personal touch to our interview. Thank You Gautam for the warm Friendship Day gesture!!

What importance does Friendship Day hold to your current track/ or in a show you are working on?

Unfortunately, none of the three shows I'm working on- Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Sapno Se Bhare Naina and Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon, have incorporated Friendship'd day- its not blending well with the current drama.

Being in the industry, who are the friends you can turn to and fall back on at anytime?

My friend circuit from the industry has people from channels whom I know for over the years now, writers and actors who I've worked  with over the years.. amongst the writers, there is Jay Verma (Miley Jab, Love Ne Mila Di), Jyoti Tandon (my co writer on Saathiya), actors Gaurav Khanna, Arjun Bijlani, Simran Kaur and Sudeep Sahir. There are a lot more, but the ones mentioned above are my speed dial friends.

Alot is said and written about friendships in the industry being opportunistic and driven by selfish motives? What do you have to say about that?

I feel a relationship should not be looked at judgmentally, from the word go, but yes, sometimes you can make out in little time the motive of an individual. I've been lucky to understand and segregate the good ones from the selfish ones.

You are working, and you have a fixed life style, where obviously things get hectic, would you make an extra effort for your friends just because u don’t get time otherwise?

I work through the day. In the evenings, I make it a point to go and catch up with my friends. We catch up at someone's place for a chai, dinner at a restaurant, sometimes a movie or even sit together and watch Emotional Atyachaar! Hahaha!

There is no one particular day needed to celebrate friendship, but if there is one such friend to whom you have been wanting to say something, but haven't been able to due to whatever reasons, you could use this as a platform!

Friendship day message for friends:

I make sure I tell my friends time and again that I love them- sometimes when I am not sober, I make what I call 'drunk calls!'. Arjun Bijlani, I may not like you all the time, but I always love you! Gaurav Khanna, you are my brother, you and I can count on each other always. Sudeep Sahir, you are my bada bhai! My role model when it comes to being an ideal son, husband and parent. My much married couple friends (it’s a long list, you know you are in it when you are reading this!), hug to all of you! My channel friends(Zee TV)- Suzana Ghai, Anu Ramsay, Saurabh Tewari, Shivani Shah, Sweta Piprodia, Vivek Bahl, if you all didnt treat me like you all own me as a family, I wouldn't have been what I am today. Jyoti Tandon, Janaki Viswanathan, Snehil Dixit, Simran Kaur, you all are like guardian angel fairies, always around making sure I'm okay. Dishank Arora, thanks for the super time we have at your pad! Lol! My non industry friends Vishal Pipraiya, Vaijayanti Albal and Abhishek Sharma, Anantika Sahir and baby Arwaan, I need you all to detox myself time and again! To my Aai and Pappa and God, you are there 24X7, so this one's for you all I LOVE YOU!

Gautam with the Miley Jab.. Actors Mohit, Sanaya and Arjun

To fans and viewers:

Its heart touching to know that our shows are appreciated. When you all like our characters and feel so much about them, somewhere we feel nice because we have been a part of creating the same. There are times when you all applaud and sometimes there are times when you all feel appalled... Like in friendship, just the way you get angry and there are times when you shower love... and just the way you shouldn’t judge and friend and end up saying something you would repent, please also give us a benefit of doubt because there are reasons why something goes right and there are reasons something goes wrong. We are around 80 people working on a show and all humans. We create, we err. It’s all a part of a long journey. Cheers! Spread love! :)

Just Dance …..Performer of the Week Vs Elimination of the Week!!

The competition towards wining the title of “Just Dance” has begun. The dance floor has now turned into a war field & all contestants are fighting it out like true warriors leaving no stone un-turned to save themselves from elimination.

Yesterday i.e. 6th August, all the thirteen contestants performed before the judges - Farah Khan & Vaibhavi Merchant. While the judges applauded some contestants, a few others failed to impress them. Based on each of their performances, the judges had to select 3 top performers & three bottom performers of the day. While the top performers had to then perform to win the title of Swift “Performer of the Week”, the bottom three had to perform to secure their position in the competition. Finally one of the bottom performers were to get eliminated as decided by Hrithik Roshan along with the other two judges.

At the end of Saturday, Ankan, Abhaash & Rajit were announced as the Top Performers while the bottom three performers were Karan Pangali, Hitesh & Preeti.

Today, i.e. 7th August… Ankan, Abhaash & Rajit danced to win the “Performer of the Week” title, while Karan, Hitesh & Preeti danced for survival. It was a do or die situation for all three bottom performers as the weakest link was to get eliminated.

All the six contestants put their heart & soul into their performances. Abhaash impressed the judges with his perfect Michael Jackson moves. Ankan with his superb act & dance reminded them of the audition days & made the judges nostalgic, while Rajit’s dance was a wake up call for all the senior citizens. Karan with his semi classical, Hitesh with his tollywood act & Preeti with her contemporary dance moves also tried to impress the judges.

Due to the brilliant performances, the contestants had made it very difficult for the judges to select the strongest & the weakest of all but as per the format of the show they had to take a call. So while Ankan went on to win the title of Swift “Performer of the Week” with prize money of one lakh, Preeti’s journey at “Just Dance” ended today. It was a sad moment for everyone but what cheered up the crowd was Hrithik’s sweet gesture as he gifted 3 lakhs to Preeti so that she could pursue her dream of starting a dance school in her hometown & promote dance as a career option.

With Preeti’s elimination, every contestant felt the heat & it’s only going to get tough from here. So let’s hope we get to see some dhamkedar performances in the forth coming weeks & may the best of the best survive.

Sushant to quit Pavitra Rishta ?

"Manav "of Pavitra Rishta is in great demand and is said to have received more than 6 Reality Shows to anchor. If rumors are to be believed, actor Sushant Rajput will be finally calling it quits with his role as "Manav" in Pavitra Rishta. Sushant has been toying with the idea of quitting the show ,as he is getting flooded with huge offers from across the channels to cover many reality shows. If speculations are to be believed then we would be seeing him for the last time on the episode that airs this Diwali.

Sushant has been in talks with various channels and wants to consider a reality show as its different and the money package is huge.He has also shown a desire to learn more about film making from US and Broadway dancing. We all know how good he was in " Jhalak Dikhlaja", so this move really doesn't come as a surprise.
Well, we hope all this rumor or speculation is just that as the audience will be heartbroken to see his exit from Pavitra Rishta.

The jodi of Archana and Manav is hugely popular and the role of Manav for sure is irreplaceable with any other and it may not go down very well with his fans as well considering they love Manav. We all now can only wait and watch as to what Sushant decides.
