The Age old tale of good over evil!!!

Dassera and Diwali, both these festivals symbolizes the victory of “good over evil” and forms an integral part of our Epic story Ramayana. Dassera is celebrated because its believed, on that very day Lord Ram had saved his wife Sita from Ravan’s evil intentions and put an end to his life, while Diwali is to celebrate the return of Lord Ram along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile.

As much as we hate Ravan, I strongly believe that Ramayan would not have been so interesting without him. While Ram and Ravan were equally strong individuals both physically and mentally, but it was Ravan’s wrong deeds and cruel intentions that made us take a notice of Lord Ram’s noble thoughts and deeds and glorified him as a character.

Eva Grover who plays Niharika in BAHL
Similarly, in the fictional world we have characters like Shyaam or Mamiji of Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Niharika-ji (Ram’s mother) of Bade Acche Lagte Hai, Raashi of Saathiya, Rama Bhabi of Navya, and many more. In every episode they plan and plot against the Protagonist or the Hero (male or female), they spit venom every time they open their mouth, they dominate over the weak souls and last but not the least, they manipulate situations and circumstances to meet their ends. The only thing that matters to them is their well-being by any means. A trend that was set by the likes of Komolika and Ramola Sikand where, the bad one’s made it their one point agenda to ruin the lives of the good ones, the time of the festivals have always been chosen as a symbolic time to show the win of good over evil !

Whenever these characters come on screen they rile us up. We wish that their evil intentions get exposed and they are punished. But as much as we hate them, we cannot deny the fact that its their evilness that eventually glorifies the goodness of our Protagonist or the Hero.

Abhaas Mehta who plays Shyam in Is Pyaar ko...kya naam doon?
When we see Shyaam’s evil intentions behind his sugar coated words, do we realize how contrastingly good Arnav Singh Raizada is as a person. On the face of it he may be arrogant, impulsive, rude and aggressive towards Khushi but he can never harm her intentionally unlike Shyaam. Similarly when we see Mamiji being rude and bitter towards Khushi and Payal, our eyes start looking for Anjali and our heart yearns for her sweet and comforting words. Had it not been for Mamiji, Anjali’s sweetness would have failed to captivate our attention.

It is these negative characters that create situations and circumstances, which lead our protagonist to emerge as strong individuals and compels us to idealise them. Their manipulative and vindictive nature creates the angst in the story and makes it more interesting. It is because of them that we all want to be like Priya, Khushi or Anjali and dream of a man like Arnav Singh Raizada.

So without the EVIL around, the GOOD would have never got its due credit. Therefore lets thank these characters for giving us our HEROES!!!!

Rangmunch.TV, wishes the entire team of Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon  heartiest congratulations on completing 100 EPISODES. On touching their first milestone, we decided it was a good time to wish them and also hear what they have to say on this occasion!! We caught the cast and crew a midst their shoots and busy schedules, but they didn't fail to share their joy and excitement...

Akshay Dogra (Aakash): "We are totally overwhelmed with all the love and adoration fans have showered on us . We at IPPKND  put in a lot of effort daily and its really good to see that it's been appreciated. We are a great bunch of people who have enjoyed every moment being part of this show and  it feels great to have completed 100 episodes. I personally love the scenes between the  brother and sister (Arnav and Anjali). There is great energy on the set when the whole  family shoots. I have great fun shooting with Daljeet and Barun". On  the current Payal-Aakash track , Akshay says "The love story is on a uphill mode where he has to defy his mother time and again. Aakash  does stand up for his love but will see a little tension and problem here and there, but in the end Love will conquer." If Akshay has to sum up himself  in one word"carefree" is the word he uses and for Aakash its "careful" (says laughingly).

Hrishikesh Gandhi (Director of Photography of IPKKND): "We thank all our viewers for giving us such good response and will continue to entertain you all." He further goes on to say that he loved filming thedargah song sequence between Arnav and Khushi and also enjoyed shooting of the first maha episode where Khushi gets stuck in the building.

Its crazy when we shoot scenes together. All the cast on the show also say that I'm the perfect choice for La. Hitesh (Dialogue Writer of IPKKND): "Thanks for the best wishes. Sanaya Irani (Khushi Kumari Gupta): "I would like to congratulate my entire team right from bottom to top. Like you know this is a result of team work that you get to see what you do on screen. We have successfully completed 100 episodes and things are only getting better, which means all of us have passed (laughs).Obviously there is so much more to come. Touchwood to that. On asking her about her liking for Jalebis in real she laughs and says ' "I like jalebis, but not the ones I have to eat on the sets. However I have now learnt to make proper shaped jalebis.

Fans, thank you to all. I promise there is loads of nice stuff to coming your way. Always remember, you guys will be the ones instrumental in touching the next milestone. So keep watching."

Arshad Khan (Director): "I would like to congratulate the entire team on completing 100 episodes. I remember the first sequence I shot on this show was the rain sequence between Barun and Sanaya, and ever since then I have enjoyed everything I have worked in this show. I wish everyone a happy 100 Episodes and hope there are more to come since this just the beginning.

Aabha Parmar (Buaji): "Jaye ho NandaKisor aaj aap ki daya se 100 kadam chal liye. Dua karo ki in kadmo ka silsila 1000 tak pachunche. Wow Is Pyar ko Kya Naam Doon ke poore pariwar ke taraf se sabhi darshako aur Rangmunch ke pathako ko hardhik dhanyawad, badhayiyan. Umeed hai sabka pyar apni buaji aur unke pariwar par aise hi barista rahega. Thank you so much." (By the grace of God we have completed 100 episodes successfully and hope to complete 1000 someday. Rajesh Chaddha (Producer, Panglosean Entertainment): "I would like to thank all the viewers for all the appreciation they have given this show. It's a great achievement for all of us. Actually since I came on board, it's been the fastest show to become No.2 in 100 episodes. I would like to thank the viewers for accepting the lead pair and their story. The freshness in the story is only because of the brilliant team we have. I really appreciate the hard-work the actors, the writers, the camera men and spot boys have put in. I sincerely thank all."

Utkarsha Naik (Mami-ji): "There is just one thing I want to say. Whenever you want to achieve something in life badly, just think you have already got it. It helps you get it eventually. Is Pyaar is a very different show. I call it Sholay on TV, with so many characters, so much variety. All of us have worked really hard towards this and are glad we are so well accepted and loved. Whenever I hear people say such wonderful things about my character, I feel thrilled. In fact many people from the industry have also been pleasantly surprised at this role I have picked up. I hope we achieve more in the days to come."

A Note of Thanks from The Rangmunch Bunch!!!

As Rangmunch.TV has crossed over One Lac page views in a span of three months, we would like to THANK everyone who has been a part of our journey and has made this possible. We also felt that now is the time to introduce you to the TEAM of Rangmunch.TV who have contributed in achieving this milestone.

With this you can now put a face to the writers whose work you read on Rangmunch.TV!

Niharika Vidya Sagar: I still remember it was a Sunday afternoon, Navya, Swati, Niti and I were on a conference call !!!  Amidst loads of other things we talked of, all of us were stuck on one thing, we all passionately felt about TV shows in general ! This is when we decided we wanted to bring to you that side of Television and Entertainment, one hasn’t perhaps seen before. We don’t know how far we have succeeded in the same, but we are glad, we have made our attempt and beginning.  The whole behind-the-scenes story is such a fascination to me; I drove the other three crazy, and forced them to like it too!!! And hey guess what? They don’t just like it now, they love it !!!  And then, Neeru came on board, an International Show fan-we made our baby wear those clothes as well, and she looked like an angel in them !! I take the liberty to speak for all, and can vouch for the fact that we have only learnt every single day!!  At times I feel, my dear friends out here get sick of the amount I talk, since there is so much to share … And as we learn, we want to share the same with all of you.. “Wo kya hai hai .. ladki hoon, pet main koi baat bachti nahi… “ Thank You so much for giving us the page views you did! Keep viewing us more and we will add more colors to Rangmunch in the days to come. Loads of love and hugs.

Navyanka Varma: "Serendipity" is what comes to mind when i think of Rangmunch and  the friends I made on this blog. Niha, who has been there in my life for forever now, Swati whom I  have a fun filled connection with, Neeru who is like the fog horn , guiding us to the new pathways and Niti, who's intense writing I fell in love with . All  have touched my life  every way possible. Rangmunch has become very dear to my heart. The conception of this blog from start to finish  has been very memorable. The equation I share with  my team is amazing ,TOUCH WOOD for that! All I can say is that its been “A walk to remember." I wish Rangmunch all the best and thank you all for making it what it is today .

Swati Ghosh: 17th July 2011, When we started Rangmunch.TV, I had my own share of apprehensions but a BIG THANKS to all you wonderful Readers out there who stood by us and gave us One Lac page views in a span of 3 months. As much as I am elated to see Rangmunch.TV achieve its first milestone, I also  realise that our efforts would not have got paid off without your love, support, and best wishes. Your comments and words of appreciation is what motivates and inspires each one of us to put our best foot forward with regards to generating ideas and formulating articles. Thank you for following the Rangmunch Blog on a regular basis and patiently reading our write-ups. Its my humble request to each and every one of you, please continue to extend your love and support to Rangmunch team so that we can continue to bring forth Fascinating  news and facts from the World of Entertainment to the best of our ability.

Last but not the least, Thank you Niharika, Navya, Niti and Neeru for always being there as a Friend, Philosopher and Guide. This journey would not have been so exciting and fulfilling without all you guys help and support. "Together we  can and we will."  With lots of Love and Best Wishes.

Niti Vaidya: They say girls just love to talk and discuss. We could have done that over a cup of coffee. But , we thought otherwise. Together we walked coming from different paths towards a common dream - television, making our passion, our profession. Though I still haven't have had a chance to actively be a part of Rangmunch but my inner connect with it is as strong.  Dreamer, that I am , it gives me a huge high to see my friends working hard and achieving huge success in a short span. Rangmunch to me is a token of love for the unbreakable bond I share with  each of my friends here. Cheers!! Good luck to us for many more such milestone moments.

Neeraja Unni: I have been associated with Rangmunch for over a month now, and it has been a pleasure interacting and working alongside Swati, Niharika, and Navya, who believe in honest hard work and also believe that it can be achieved while having loads of fun. Scripting the brand new International Segment is interesting, keeps me on my toes, and gives me an opportunity to write to my heart’s content about shows that I love watching. It’s a win-win situation for me.

Rangmunch is a bridge (to connect the fans to the television industry and vice versa) that is being meticulously built with lots of love and care. We are putting in our best efforts to also bring to you, shows that you will carry with you forever as memories.
An achievement of One-lakh page views in a short span of three months is just the beginning. We are just getting warmed up and we have many more milestones to achieve, examples to set. This cannot be done without your constant support and encouragement.
A heartfelt gratitude to all those wonderful people from the industry and the fans (you guys are the best!) who have regularly found time to not only read our articles but have also been kind enough to give us your valuable feedback in the form of comments, requests, and criticism. Your guidance is most precious to us. Bow to thee!

We would also like to thank everyone from the Television Industry who have not only encouraged us with their kind words and best wishes, but  have also blessed us. We hope to continue to do our best and act as a platform between the fans and those faces that give them their favourite shows!

Arrey kya baat hai! A hearty congratulations and all the very best to the entire team of Rangmunch for the grand launch. There are millions of TV portals for television actors that publicize their lives and characters in any particular show. But Rangmunch has gone a step ahead by not only publicising actors but also the people behind the camera who play an integral part in the creation of a show. Really looking forward to a lot of gossip along with creative discussions. All the best guys.

Anjali an anti-thesis of Arnav: will tables turn?

She has been a loving sister, an obedient, dutiful and daughter of the household and most importantly an understanding and caring wife. Everyone who meets Anjali on Iss Pyaar ko kya Naam Doon? falls in love with her sweetness, simplicity and her accommodating nature.  She has been that string that has held the entire Raizada family together. Arnav totally dotes on her and treats her as a mother figure, and someone who is an indispensable part of his life. Anjali also shares a wonderful rapport with Khushi and Payal.

She has been shown as a religious person, with immense faith in god and things around her. So the question arises, what will happen when the world around her changes, since its most likely to happen in the days to come. Anjali has shown so much faith in husband Shyam and what his says and does, that your heart goes out to her when you think of what he is doing behind her back. Anjali is that one factor that binds almost every character on the show to another, so much so that the other day when Payal was hurt, she actually was strong willed enough to go against her own mami and tell her she was wrong! The subtle yet strong actions from time and again is what makes Anjali a true sister to ASR in every respect! Don't forget she was the very same girl who struck a deal with Khushi, when it came to working in their house!

Having said all this, in my opinion, Anjali is one such character that has the makings of a person that can undergo a total sea change! If we look at the current scenario, she has realized Khushi is that one person who can influence Arnav's life. Anjali may even be smart enough to gauge there is more than what meets the eye! She may encourage it too knowing fully well, this could be a road to her brother's happiness. She will leave no stone unturned to find the key to her brother's heart!

What will happen however, when she learns this very Khushi has been the reason for her marital turmoil that she has been blissfully unaware of? They say, a known devil is better than an unknown angel. Anjali loves her husband to death, but is totally oblivious to the occurances and the feelings of his heart ! The amount of faith she has in him, could also for a moment lead her to believe he cannot possibly be wrong! Love loves denial and make belief realities and Anjali has every reason to blame Khushi for the same, if Shyam pushes the blame on Khushi to save his face!

However, a thought that has been playing in my head for a while, asks ... What if tables turn? We know Arnav is a cold, brutal cynical man who has no faith, trust or belief in anyone. This however is now perhaps slowly changing with Khushi gradually making her way into his heart. There could be a day, in the near future when he starts to give life a chance again and live it the way it needs to be lead. He may start smiling more, giving more, loving more! At this point in time, what if Anjali learns, her husband has been cheating on her without knowing who the woman is? She may start to hate Khushi anyway, knowingly and unknowingly! One, for having lost her brother's attention and affection to another woman, and two for being that unknown other woman in her husbands life! Would this lead to Anjali turning into another ASR while the sibling dons the role of an Anjali? Sounds too drastic doesn't it? Well, I don't know ! With whatever little I have gathered of Anjali, and how the story primarily focuses on how much she means to Arnav, and how much Shyam means to her, I am only forced to believe, anything changing drastically in their world could change Anjali as a whole!

We know the worst is on its way, and hope she as a character gets the strength to handle this tsunami and portray consistency in character. After all, no one wants to see people losing faith in humanity, relationships and optimism! You just stop living then right?

These two indeed are perfect brother and sister and their characters have been etched with extreme depth and they have been interwoven with one another to the minutest of detail!
