Diwali Dil(li)-walon Ki!!!

Rangmunch.TV brings to you some fond memories of Diwali celebrations shared by some of the hottest men of Small Screen!!

Karan Tacker aka Viren in Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai

My Dad is from Delhi, but we have been staying in a nuclear family in Mumbai for last 25 years now. However, since my extended family, my grandparents are from Delhi, so we keep going back every time during Diwali. You get that mitti ka diya, usme, I think sarson ka tel hota hai .That whole smell of mitti and sarson is a very firm reminder of Diwali. Even when I light it in Bombay, it just reminds me of the time we as kids used to light the whole house in Delhi with diyas. Yeh sab bachon ke kaam hote the. Jaise he andhera hota tha, hum sab jaake diye jalate the. We had huge house in Delhi, because of joint family and all, so it felt really good doing all activities together. We used to have a huge Diwali dinner at my Dadi’s house. I have very fond memories of that. One delicacy that I look forward to and is a must during Diwali is Jhonny Walker Black Label, provided one can handle it (says laughingly).

Mohnish Behl aka Dr. Ashutosh in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge

I wish my family's happiness this Diwali. I think one should burst crackers only for enjoyment and not for competition and status issue. Wishing all my fans a very  happy and  prosperous Diwali.Have a safe Diwali, and take care of yourself and your family .

Sameer Soni aka Kunal Chopra in Parichay

I celebrate Diwali with my family in Delhi and this year is no different. Diwali is one such occasion where all family and friends get together and enjoy spending time with each other.I wish all my fans a happy Diwali and may there be joy and happiness during this divine festival.

Samir Sharma aka Dev in Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi

Generally we celebrate Diwali with our entire family, but this time my parents are not coming down, so its going to be just my wife and me. I probably will be shooting all day tomorrow as well. We may visit friends and have a quiet dinner later. The best childhood memories I have of Diwali are those that we celebrated when we were in Delhi. We used to live in a colony where there would be around sixty-seventy families and we kids would get together and burst loads of crackers, and then cousins would also come over. Things are different now however after moving to Mumbai, mainly because I think I have out grown the phase of wanting to burst crackers and spending money on the same (laughs). I wish everyone a very safe and a pollution free Diwali. The whole idea behind Diwali is celebrating the victory of Good over Evil, so always keep that in mind, and don't forget to enjoy yourself!!!

Rangmunch.TV wishes all its readers and their loved ones a very happy and safe Diwali!!!!

Rangmunch's awww and hawww moments the week ...!!!

For all those of you that watched shows this week and went through certain emotions ... Rangmunch.TV brings in a segment where we give you a quick re-cap of the same ..

Water Crisis....

Ek Hazaro main meri behena hai this week has been all about cute moments and celebrations with Viren and Jeevika getting engaged, the families coming close, and with Manvi also accepting Viren as her Jeeju to be all seems hunky dory. A midst the Karvachauth celebrations, you finally see a twist in the tale! Viren is the one who ends up giving Manvi that life safer gulp of water!sigh! So says the promo! will it happen that way? Or wont it .. lets wait and watch ...

This comes out as the Haww moment of the week !!!

Silver lining in a Soap Packet...

While, Payal teases Khushi and asks her if she will ever find a man who will fulfill her stupid fantasies, you see later in the episode how Arnav silently slips two silver coins into a detergent packet, after Khushi buys 20 packs of Miss.Chamko Powder hoping to win a silver coin in one of them !!!

It was endearing to see Mr. Broody, melt, and finally turn Mr. Cheesy only for the sake of his lady love on Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon!

This surely makes it the awwww moment of the week on Rangmunch!!

Sukir-Tee ya Tee...

After seeing Sukirti don a double role in Pyar ki yeh ek kahani on StarOne, as both Pia and Maithilee, this week we get to see the return of Maithilee in a new avtar ! For all those that thought, Maithlee and Tee are dead, this was a shock, considering, Tee reveals her self as Maithilee and also narrates the entire Abhayendra-Maithilee love story !!!

While Rangmunch went hawww after the moment, I am sure, most others did too ...!!!

Chatt pe Romance...

Telepathy, is their favorite mode of communication! Maan and Geet on Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi have proved it again! Since their entire family is at loggerheads, Maan and Geet barely get any time to spend with one another these days.. However, the lovers did manage to steal a few moments together on the terrace of their house, away from prying eyes where the two married lovers romance away under the dark sky adorned with stars !!!

Awwww... need we say more?

Cow!!! But how ????

After learning, she is married to a Halwai (sweet-shop owner), Sandhya looks at a cow, and realizes she is no different ... as she compares the sindoor to the tilak, her bangles to the anklets on the cow, and her mangalsutra to the cows neck piece she tries to set it free, but the cow doesn't budge and that reminds her of a conversation with her mother and feels bad at her fate! She so didn't ask for all this, we at Rangmunch dont disagree...

Hawww at Sandhya's imagination !!!!!

Damad ho toh aisa ...

Priya and Ram cant stop fighting and are constantly reminding one another they have been tied together by force. But this week, while Priya fasts for Ram during Karwa Chauth, in turn actually saving his life, Ram does his bit by standing up for Priya and her father by letting him know he will exercise all rights over him as a son-in-law who is like a son..!!

We say awwww for one last time before closing for this week!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this Sunday piece! Rangmunch will be back next week with more such moments !!! Have a great Sunday !

Ek Hazaro Main Meri Behna Hai: First Day First Feel!

A sister is a friend, a confidante, a mother and a guiding force. A sister yells at you when you are wrong, she fights with you only to make up later doing something so nice, you turn around and think you couldn't have asked for a better companion. I know a lot of people, who are extremely close to their siblings, so much so that they are inseparable. A sister becomes a friend, when the world turns against you, a mother when you need care. Though, you are born off the same womb, sometimes you are so different, you wonder what binds you to one another? If someone else messes you would kill them, but your sister enjoys the right to even kill you. Or so you think.

If you relate to each of these emotions and have a sister you are extremely close to, I would recommend you to watch Ek Hazaro Main meri Behna Hai, the new show on Star Plus that started last evening. There is so much of warmth in the bond the sisters share, you cant help but shed tears. Their love and understanding towards each other make you wish you had a sister like them. At the same time, there is so much contrast between the two that you cant help but smile.

Manvi and Jeevika adore each other so much that they dont see a world beyond one another. Manvi the younger one is more bubbly and vivacious. She speaks her heart out. You see that this is the freedom she enjoys because her sister allows her to live her life that way. The sisters are almost inseparable. In about half an hour, you also learn Jeevika is in love with Dr.Manan (Abhinav Shukla), who is back on screen after his stint as Dev in Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. The silent love between the two is so adorable and endearing, you almost feel bad as soon as you seem them and realising that their story may not actually see the light of the day. But Manvi is not the one to give up. She readily takes up for her sister, even in front of her family when a rishta comes their way from a Khandaani family. Jeevika however being older and more balanced, understands the ways of the world as well as is obligated to her family that has brought the orphans up. She obviously doesn't want to let them down, especially after their Beeji (Anju Mahendroo) tells them how her son (the father) had let them down.

The last scene at the ghat is not only breath taking to watch, it also leaves you moist eyed. The love between the sisters is palpable. You also witness the wicked twist in fate where Manvi's diya goes off while Jeevika lights it up for her and both the sisters wish and pray for each other's well being.

With so much happening in one episode, there is loads of drama and an interesting story in store for the veiwers. We wish the entire team all the very best!

Rangmunch recommends Ek Hazaro Main Meri Behna Hai to those who have sisters, those who dont, and all those who would love to have a sister like Jeevika or Manvi ! Come one, come all! Watch this show for sure.
